Yours in Pulmonary Rehab
Nick Moberly, Chief Executive of
The Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Trust
I am delighted that the Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Trust and the Wright Foundation have come together to further develop and deliver this course for the benefit of patients with chronic lung conditions. The management of long term conditions (such as COPD) is a key priority.
The initial courses run in this area by our dedicated Pulmonary Rehabilitation team will now be taken to another level with national implementation through our collaboration with the Wright Foundation.
This has to be of benefit to COPD patients who have, at present, little access to ongoing rehabilitation in community and non health care settings.
The timing of this collaboration is apt with the launch next year of the Respiratory National Service Framework which will champion schemes such as this to ensure correct management of patients with chronic lung disease.
I look forward to this venture developing and expanding year on year.
Nick Moberly
